Percussion Workshop (2:15 pm at the Open Mike Stage) – presented by Michael J. Taylor.

Come get an introduction to the world of rhythm with one of the Chicago-area's most accredited teachers, and an experienced performer. This workshop will explore some rhythmic group conversation, as well as delve into a traditional West African djembe rhythm. No experience necessary!

Participants are encouraged to bring djembe’s, dunun’s, or whatever other percussion instrument they might have. 15 drums will be provided on a first-come basis.
